Welcoming Briony Hoare of Beach Road Wines - Osteria Ilaria Saturday 14th July

Our second winemaker in The Wine Loop is Jimmy Watson Trophy winner and Australian Young Winemaker of Year, Briony Hoare.

Join her for an afternoon of conversation and insights into her much-lauded, miniscule quantities of small-batch produced wines - featuring both McLaren Vale classics and Italian varietals.

Her love of the latter stems from a vintage in Piedmont, but she earned her stripes in Coonawarra, McLaren Vale, Barossa and beyond making Australia’s most iconic wines. Alongside viticulturist husband Tony, their combined CV includes names like Wirra Wirra, Penfolds, Seppelt and Wynns.

For Head Chef Andreas Papadakis, his food philosophy for Osteria Ilaria and sister restaurant Tipo 00 is tradition, origins and fun.

Having trained at the Ecole Ritz Escoffier in Paris and spent four years as senior chef at Vue Du Monde, expect a hand-crafted menu of “the food we like to eat, simplicity of hospitality and of course the pasta”.

With just twelve seats at the Osteria Ilaria table, join Briony and Andreas for a relaxed winter’s Saturday afternoon! Book now at The Wine Loop’s Box Office. #thewineloop
