Spring update #2: Briony Hoare, Beach Road Wines, McLaren Vale
Q. What has been happening over at the winery since you joined us in The Wine Loop at Osteria Ilaria?
A. I am in full vintage preparation at the moment, beginning our pre-vintage clean up, service and bottling schedule so we are ready to receive the fabulous 2019 vintage. We have been preparing for the silly season with new paving and rearranging our alfresco area. The wedding season is upon us, with lovely couples celebrating their union in style.
Q. What’s the next release we should expect to see from the cellars of Beach Road Wines?
A. We have just released our 2017 Nero d’Avola, and 2017 Aglianico plus our new release of our limited Pedro Ximenez and Grand Tawny. Our new Sangria is in production, with plans afoot for a red Sangria to join the white.
Q. We see you just hosted Shakespeare in the Vines at your McLaren Vale winery… what’s your favourite Shakespeare quote that sums up your life in the world of wine?!
